if youre gonna liveblog your writing you should write in google docs and invite people to watch you write the whole thing! think of all the advice input and ideas you could get from the people that read your fics. - Rae

On the recommendation of my dearest Beta, I do use Google Documents now, but I don’t think I’d go the route of letting everyone join in. You know, just on the off chance that someone who just wants to be annoying sneaks in and starts making unnecessary changes for the sake of making them.

Not to mention the fact that what you see here has undergone all kinds of edits and changes from the original writing to re-read to my beta. Or that I don’t think anyone would really care to watch a blank page for extended periods of time or the same sentence/paragraph being written and re-written repeatedly while I gather my thoughts.

I do enjoy feedback, though. And opinions. And ideas…

DEAN: Y’know, though we met years ago, sometimes I feel like I hardly know you. You should tell me about your life.
CASTIEL: That’s a long story.
DEAN: Then just tell me the important parts.
CASTIEL: On September the eighteenth, 2008, I saved a righteous man from Hell.

"Y’know, though we met years ago, sometimes I feel like I hardly know you." Dean looks up from his mostly-abandoned book. Sitting across the table from him, Castiel stares down at his own, flipping through the pages slowly, eyes drifting across page after page of pictures and walls of text. He flicks his gaze up at Dean, briefly, and turns another page, inciting Dean to go on. "You should tell me about your life." He waits a moment, receiving no response, and nudges Castiel’s leg with his boot under the table.

"That’s a long story," Castiel answers slowly, flipping another page. Dean shrugs, knowing full well his fallen best friend can’t see it, but it’s a habit he picked up somewhere along his not-long-enough life. "Then just tell me the important parts."

Castiel sighs. It’s soft and almost drowned out in the flipping pages and for a moment Dean wonders if it had happened at all. He pauses, long enough for Dean to assume he’s not going to get an answer and dip his head back towards his book, and then closes the one he had been reading, though his eyes never leave the worn leather cover. “On September the eighteenth, 2008, I saved the righteous man from Hell.”

He finally looks up to Dean, bright blue eyes meeting deep green, full of something he knew only from his time on Earth. Love.
